I took the Quiz on your page to find out if I have endometriosis and it came back that I have “one or more of the symptoms that can be caused by problems such as endometriosis, irritable bowel syndrome, or lactose intolerance, or a sexually transmitted infection (STI).” I have no idea what to do because I’m on vacation right now. Can you help?

painful crampsThe first thing you should do is tell a parent or guardian that you have been having painful periods/and or pain. Mention that you took a quiz about pelvic pain and the results said that you have symptoms that “may” be caused from endometriosis. You should then talk about making an appointment with your health care provider when you get home from vacation.

The quiz is simply a tool to help you become more aware of your body but it doesn’t mean that you definitely have endometriosis. There can be other reasons for your pain such as irritable bowel syndrome, appendicitis, lactose intolerance, or a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Only a doctor can tell for sure.

In the meantime, you can use this tool to keep track of your periods and pain.
