Anytime a person has unprotected sex (i.e. touching, rubbing, penetration (with a penis/sperm)) there is an increased chance that they could become pregnant. You can’t get pregnant through your belly-button, but sperm can travel on the penis to vagina or on hands/fingers to the vagina, and this does put a person at risk for pregnancy! No matter where a person ejaculates, if there is sperm in contact with the vagina, there is a risk of pregnancy. If you think you might be pregnant, contact your health care provider (HCP) immediately and schedule an appointment. It’s always better to be safe!
