One of my nipples is itchy a lot, and has discharge but the other is fine. What’s wrong with me?

Thanks for your question. Itching is usually caused by dry skin, eczema or irritation from clothing such as your bra. Discharge from your nipple is not typical unless you are breast feeding or pregnant, have a hormone imbalance or it’s possible you are having a side effect from a certain medicine you are taking. Treatment depends on what is causing your symptoms so you should make an appointment with your primary care provider. You may need to have simple tests such as a blood test to check your hormone levels. In case you are wondering, breast cancer is very, very rare in teenagers; however, if there is a history of breast cancer in your family, you should tell your provider.
