Woman with pregnancy testThe most common cause of a missed period is pregnancy; however, there can be other causes including: hormone imbalance (that interrupts or delays ovulation), exercise, low weight or weight loss and stress. Continue to use a reliable method of contraception and condoms every time you have sex.  If you don’t get your period in a week, you can repeat the pregnancy test and/or make an appointment with your health care provider.
