If you’re taking hormone medicine such as birth control pills you may have spotting or break-through bleeding in between cycles if you missed a pill (or other hormone medicine), or ended up taking it later than usual. If you’re sexually active and have bleeding between cycles, get checked for chlamydia. It’s always a good idea to talk to your health care provider if your menstrual cycle is different than normal.
