If you have a UTI and it feels better, do you still need to finish the medicine?

Yes! It’s very important to take ALL of the antibiotic medicine that your doctor or health care provider prescribed, even if your symptoms go away after a few days. If you don’t take all of your medication, your infection may come back, and you will be uncomfortable all over again. Also, if your health care provider scheduled a follow-up visit, do NOT cancel the appointment.
