I’ve been getting my period on and off for the past couple of months. Sometimes there’s only a week between each one. Is this normal?
While it can be normal to have slightly irregular periods the first year, they shouldn’t be too close together or heavy. Irregular bleeding often straightens out, but it can cause anemia (low blood). It’s important to check in with your health care provider to make sure that the irregular bleeding isn’t a sign of problem.
