It’s generally recommended that you drink 4-6 cups (around 32-64 ounces) of water daily. Everyone is different, the amount of water recommended for you might be different for someone else, so that’s probably why you’re finding different amounts on different websites. Losing water throughout the day- due to exercise or heat- will increase your overall intake needs. Your physician will have a better idea what your individual needs are, but 4-6 cups a day is a great place to start!

- It seems like no matter how much water I drink, I’m still thirsty. I can’t go anywhere without a bottle of water, and I drink over 3 liters of water a day. Is there something wrong with me?
- I’ve had this issue my whole life. I rarely feel thirst unless it’s extreme. I can’t drink more than a mouthful of any fluid or I feel nauseous. It’s an issue, as I can get dehydrated, but my body doesn’t tell me till it’s severe.
