Oral sex is when a person uses their mouth for sexual contact with their partner’s penis, vagina or rectum. If a girl “receives” oral sex, it means that her partner is using their mouth on her genital area to make her feel “sexually excited”. When a partner gives oral sex to a male, it means touching his penis, scrotum (ball sack) and nearby skin with their mouth.
A girl can’t get pregnant just with oral sex, but a girl CAN get an STI (sexually transmitted infection). The only way to prevent getting and STI is to not have oral, vaginal, or anal intercourse. You can lessen your risk by using condoms and dental dams.
It’s important to remember that you should NEVER do anything that you don’t feel comfortable doing or that you feel pressured to do. You should ALWAYS talk about what you want to do and why it might be okay or not okay with your partner BEFORE you do it.
