National HIV Testing Day

June 27th, 2009

National HIV Testing Day (NHTD) is an opportunity to reduce HIV testing stigma and promote testing. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that 1 out of 5 people in the USA are HIV-positive but don't know it. HIV counseling and testing will let you take steps to protect your own health, and the health of your partner, and helps people who test negative get the information they need to stay uninfected. You can get tested for free at a center near you.

CYWH Cookbook Sale

Friday, August 14th, 11:00am - 2:00pm

Children's Hospital Cafeteria

The CYWH staff and Children's Hospital Executive Chef Jim Boyd are teaming up to prepare some of our favorite recipes from our "Quick and Easy Recipes for Teens" Cookbook! The Children's Hospital Cafeteria will be featuring 6 delicious dishes, straight from the cookbook, and we'll also be selling the book in the cafeteria that day. The cookbook is available for $19.99 plus tax, and all proceeds from the sale support the Center's Youth Advisory Program (YAP). The YAP program trains highschool girls to give health presentations to youth in the Boston community about nutrition, fitness, and safety issues. So if you're in the Boston area on the 14th, come on by!
