stressed girlBipolar disorder is a mental illness that has gained a lot of attention in the past few years, but it’s actually quite rare. It’s marked by episodes of being extremely excited and other episodes of being extremely depressed. These episodes go way beyond normal behavior or feelings.

Being stressed out, on the other hand, is quite common. Stress can cause feelings of anxiety and depression that come and go, but this is not bipolar disorder. If you feel concerned about your moods, it’s a good idea to talk you your health care provider or a counselor to get help with how to manage your feelings.
